Earlier this week, former Vice President Dick Cheney observed that relations between the United States and Israel, its most important Mideast ally have never been worse. Yesterday, the Wall Street Journal showed how bad they’ve become.

It seems President Obama is no longer simply deeply hostile towards the elected leader of Israel, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

The White House and State Department have just instituted procedures that have the effect of slowing – and, in at least one case, preventing – U.S. replenishing of Israeli stocks of weapons critical to our ally’s self-defense.

Such interference belies Team Obama’s professed commitment to the right of Israel to defend itself. Worse yet, this evidence of America’s unreliability as an ally can only encourage the Jewish State’s enemies – and ours – to redouble their efforts to destroy her.
