President Obama’s outrageously unconstitutional behavior just keeps accumulating.  The latest example is a rumored intention to use his “pen and phone” to circumvent bipartisan congressional opposition to his radical “climate change” agenda.

Reportedly, the President will assert that he can enter into what is, for all intents and purposes, a new treaty on the subject by claiming to be simply amending a very different, old one. This gambit would make a mockery of the U.S. Senate’s co-equal role in treaty-making.

The President evidently believes that he can get away with such an affront to the Constitution, as he has so many others to date, and oblige the United States to reduce its use of carbon emitting coal. Will endangered coal-state Democrats, let alone energy security-minded Republicans, let him perpetrate such a travesty?
