Recently, controversial Homeland Security official Mohammed Elibiary announced on twitter that he has resigned as Senior Fellow from the Homeland Security Advisory Board.

When asked on twitter why he was leaving, by National Security Analyst Ryan Mauro, Elibiary responded that he was going to help the “Conservative Movement” win in “2016.”

Most recently, Elibiary has announced he is planning on establishing a new Texas based, state level Homeland Security Think Tank.

While Elibiary has left a few clues as to his future plans, speculation as to the circumstances of his resignation tend to revolve around his past behavior and tweets.

Elibiary, who holds Isamist sympathies, is at the center of allegations where he is alleged to have leaked classified information to reporters in order to spread charges of “Islamophobia.”

Elibiary’s twitter activity has been a regular cause for controversy.

In the past, Elibiary has tweeted that he believes America is “an Islamic country with an Islamically compliant constitution.” Additionally, he has tweeted his enthusiasm towards the integration of the terrorist group Hamas into the Palestinian government. As ISIS was starting their takeover of Iraq, he tweeted his belief the a Muslim “caliphate” is making an ‘inevitable return.’

While many are speculating that his tweets have finally caught up to him, all I can say is that I personally feel that the Department of Homeland Security is a bit more secure.
