Elibiary Takes Time out of Bashing Tea Party to recall videos of Pro-Hamas Cleric

Mohammed Elibiary, the former Senior DHS fellow with close ties to the Muslim Brotherhood has always been comfortable speaking his mind on social media, such as the time he announced the coming caliphate was “inevitable.” Earlier this week he took a moment in order to recall time spent as a youth watching the videos of a virulently anti-semitic Pro-Hamas Muslim Brotherhood cleric.

Swaidan, who lived in Oklahoma for seventeen years, during which time he was identified as an unindicted co-conspirator in the Holy Land Foundation Trial (under the rubric of “individuals/entities who are and/or were members of the US Muslim Brotherhood”) has been routinely documented by organizations such as MEMRI for his Pro-Hamas rhetoric, including calls for armed resistance, and for Jew-hatred, including saying that the Jews represented “The number one danger facing Muslims.”

When I highlighted this tweet I made reference to Elibiary’s stated intention upon leaving DHS to return to Texas and work in GOP politics, where he has been vocal against the tea party, and what he calls the #FarRight.

He took umbrage:

It’s curious that Elibiary took more interest in the question of whether or not he was a centrist Republican, then pointing out he was a consumer of a Pro-Hamas propagandist. There appears to be plenty of room in Mohammed Elibiary’s GOP for pro-Hamas sentiments, but little for anyone who points out that being pro-Islamist may not be what Reagan had in mind.
