Today, seventeen prominent former senior government officials, retired top military officers and national leaders urged Congress to act now to stave off disaster. They foresee great danger in the nuclear deal President Obama is trying to cut with Iran. It’s so bad already – and still more Western concessions are in prospect – that preemptive congressional action is in order.

Specifically, these leaders believe the accord will not keep Iran from getting the Bomb. And if President Obama unilaterally ends sanctions Congress imposed on that country, there will be no practical way to reimpose them once the full magnitude of this defective deal becomes evident.

I am proud to join those calling for the repudiation of this agreement even before it is finished – and pray that Congress will heed our expert recommendations.
