Memo to Federal Judges Opposing Immigration Pause: It’s A Dangerous World

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

The Trump administration just reminded federal judges second-guessing the President’s decision to pause immigration from six countries awash with jihadism that it’s a dangerous world out there.

Now, air travelers from eight other nations tied to Sharia-supremacism – the Islamic feedstock of jihad and terrorism – can’t carry-on large portable electronic equipment. Evidently, there’s fresh reason to believe that our enemies seek to use laptops and the like to conceal bombs that could take down commercial airliners.

Such a menace is a reminder of why the Constitution and Congress have invested in the President – not the courts – the authority to determine who should be allowed into the United States. Judges typically lack the national security experience, let alone the latest intelligence, needed properly to evaluate the threats we face and, wherever possible, to keep them from doing us harm.
