Frank J. Gaffney, Jr., President
Mr. Gaffney formerly acted as the Assistant Secretary of Defense for International Security Policy during the Reagan Administration, following four years of service as the Deputy Assistant Secretary of Defense for Nuclear Forces and Arms Control Policy. Previously, he was a professional staff member on the Senate Armed Services Committee under the chairmanship of the late Senator John Tower, and a national security legislative aide to the late Senator Henry M. Jackson.
Christine Brim, Chief Operating Officer
Ms. Brim has over twenty years of experience in risk assessment, business continuity planning and disaster recovery planning. She has published in the areas of communications and logistics. She received her MBA from George Mason University with a focus on decision support systems.
Shaun Seifert, Chief Financial Officer
Mr. Seifert manages and coordinates the various business activities with respect to the Center's operations, and oversees the Center's internship program. He has previously served on the staff of the Ways and Means Committee and House Committee on the Budget. He has a BA in Economics, an MBA, and is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Public Policy.
Hon. Fred Grandy, Executive Vice President
Grandy is a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard University, a successful actor in Hollywood on the hit TV series, The Love Boat, and a four term Congressman from Iowa in the U.S. House of Representatives. Despite these influences he remains a solid conservative who for the past eight years has informed and entertained Washington, DC radio audiences on his popular daily morning show The Grandy Group.
In addition to his careers in show business and politics, Grandy has been a respected non-profit executive as President and CEO of the internationally known and respected health and human services organization, Goodwill Industries International. He has served as an adjunct professor at the University of Maryland’s School of Public Affairs and holds a Master’s of Fine Arts Degree from George Washington University.
Ben Lerner, Vice President for Government Relations
Mr. Lerner manages the Center's educational efforts and interactions with the federal government. He also manages coalitions and projects addressing national security law, homeland security, nuclear deterrence, American sovereignty, and energy security, and is responsible for the researching and drafting of policy publications in these and other areas. His articles have appeared in The American Spectator, The Washington Times, Townhall, The Washington Examiner, and inFocus Quarterly. Prior to joining the Center, Mr. Lerner served as counsel on energy, environment and homeland security issues in a government relations firm, held a senior government relations role with a foreign affairs advocacy organization, gained experience in both the House and Senate, and served as a senior advisor on a congressional campaign. He holds a law degree from Georgetown University, and received his bachelor's degree in political science, with highest distinction, from the University of Michigan.
Christopher Holton, Vice President for Outreach
Christopher Holton is Vice President for Administration, Marketing & Development at the Center for Security Policy. Mr. Holton came to the Center after serving as president and marketing director of Blanchard & Co. and editor-in-chief of the Blanchard Economic Research Unit from 1990 to 2003. As chief of the Blanchard Economic Research Unit in 2000, he conceived and commissioned the Center for Security Policy special report "Clinton's Legacy: The Dangerous Decade." Holton is a member of the Board of Advisers of WorldTribune.com.
David Reaboi, Vice President for Strategic Communications
David Reaboi coordinates messaging and the transmission of Center information, such as advertising, broadcasting, and journalism. In 2012, he was selected as a Lincoln Fellow at the Claremont Institute. He is a graduate of George Washington University, where he specialized in Cold War history and totalitarian ideologies. He is also a jazz historian and musician.
David Yerushalmi, Esq., General Counsel
Mr. Yerushalmi is a lawyer specializing in litigation and risk analysis, especially as it relates to geo-strategic policy, national security, international business relations, securities law, disclosure and due diligence requirements for domestic and international concerns. David Yerushalmi has been involved in international legal and constitutional matters for over 25 years. David Yerushalmi is today considered an expert on Islamic law and its intersection with Islamic terrorism and national security. In this capacity, he has published widely on the subject including the principle critical scholarship on Shariah-compliant finance published in the Utah Law Review (2008, Issue 3). This work and the empirical investigation known as the Mapping Shariah project in America was the focus of a recent monograph published by the McCormack Foundation and the Center for Security Policy.
J. Michael Waller, Ph.D., Vice President for Information Operations
A journalist and author, Dr. Waller brings expertise in terrorism, intelligence, the former Soviet Union and the Americas. He has covered wars and political violence in five countries, has written for Insight magazine, Reader's Digest, the Washington Times and the Wall Street Journal and has served as a consultant to the U.S. Department of State. He holds a Ph.D. in international security affairs from Boston University, and is a former staff member of the United States Senate. He holds the Walter and Leonore Annenberg Chair in International Communication at the Institute of World Politics, a graduate school of national security.
Nancy Menges, Editor-in-Chief of The Americas Report
Mrs. Menges, the co-founder of the Menges Hemispheric Security Project, is in charge of the weekly edition of CSP's Americas Report. Fluent in Spanish, she holds a degree in International Relations from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has studied at the University of the Americas in Mexico City. Her postgraduate degree has been earned from the University of Maryland. She has testified in Congress and submitted CSP's statement regarding US-Colombian relations to the House Subcommittee on the Western Hemisphere.
Caroline Glick, Senior Fellow for Middle Eastern Affairs
Chicago-born Caroline Glick is deputy managing editor of the Jerusalem Post. A former officer in the Israel Defense Forces, she was a core member of Israel's negotiating team with the Palestinians and later served as an assistant policy advisor to the prime minister. During Operation Iraqi Freedom, the widely-published Glick was an embedded journalist with the U.S. Army's Third Infantry Division. She was awarded a distinguished civilian service award from the U.S. Secretary of the Army for her battlefield reporting.
Adam Savit, Senior Research Associate
Mr. Savit conducts research focusing on foreign and domestic national security challenges to the United States. He manages publications, produces videos and manages websites for the Center, and is Editor of CAIRobservatory.org. He is a graduate of the Pennsylvania State University.
Travis Korson, Manager of Public Information
Mr. Korson coordinates member and media communications for the Center. He is a veteran of the conservative movement, having served in the Bush White House and worked at various think-tanks and advocacy organizations throughout the cause. He is a graduate of the George Washington University where he studied International Affairs.
