Operation Protective Edge

Last night, Israel launched a military assault on targets in the Gaza Strip controlled by the designated terrorist group Hamas.

The Jewish State has thus far exercised considerable restraint in retaliating for 450 Hamas missile strikes over the past six months – some of which have inflicted casualties and damage in two major Israeli cities, Ashkelon and Ashdod.

Rep. Michele Bachmann recently observed that the problem is not just Hamas. It is also Fatah, the Palestinian faction that has fraudulently been described as a “partner for peace” with Israel, but that is as committed as Hamas to the destruction of the Jewish State.

Ms. Bachmann is right: We must understand the nature of our jihadist enemies if we, the Israelis and other freedom-loving people are ever to prevail over them.
