The negotiating process that President Obama launched with Iran has been reduced to theater of the absurd. If the stakes weren’t so perilously high, his deplorable performance would be hilarious.

Launched with the stated purpose of preventing the mullahs from obtaining nuclear weapons, the talks are now just supposed to buy time before they do so.

Even that prospect has vanished with Secretary of State John Kerry’s declaration this week that the deal won’t be “legally binding” – a gambit transparently designed to deny its review by Congress. When that was properly seen as unacceptable, we were told the United Nation’s approval might be sought, instead.

Iran is eating Obama’s lunch – and ours. Unless both are stopped, a regime that explicitly seeks a “world without America” will soon have the means to achieve it.
