God Bless Megyn Kelly

God bless Megyn Kelly. The Fox News anchor broke earlier this week with several network colleagues and most other journalists’ party-line concerning events in Garland, Texas.

She did so by standing forthrightly for freedom of speech and the right guaranteed in our Constitution to exercise it –especially when it might offend others. She refuses to join in professing a commitment to the First Amendment, while insisting on self-censorship.

More to the point, Ms. Kelly gets that we have to “offend” jihadists by refusing to accommodate their determined efforts to force us all to submit to the supremacist Islamic code called shariah. If we fail to do so, we will embolden them to believe that they are succeeding in that holy war – which assures there will be more violence, not less.
