Embrace Trump’s Immigration Platform

Donald Trump is driving the political establishment crazy. He is likely to do so even more now that he has laid out a position on immigration reform at odds with the open borders agenda favored by both parties’ leadership and special interests.

Trump’s platform defies them with three principles: First, he vows to build a wall at the border with Mexico – and get Mexico to pay for it.

Second, he promises to enforce the nation’s immigration laws. What a concept!

And finally, he promises to give preference to the “jobs, wages and security of all Americans” in deciding who and how many will be admitted to this country.

Robust immigration stances have fueled Donald Trump’s meteoric rise in the polls. If they wish to catch him, his many rivals must do no less.
