Stop the Jihadists’ Hijra to America

According to Secretary of State John Kerry, the Obama administration is about to admit 85,000 more refugees and that most of them will be Syrians. He assures us that they will be screened to assure none of those admitted will threaten our security.

That assurance rings hollow in light of two facts: First, the Director of National Intelligence and FBI Director have both made clear that we can’t be sure of the backgrounds, let alone the future intentions of Syrian refugees.

And second, jihadist groups like the Islamic State and al Qaeda have made clear that they are determined to exploit what they call the hijra – or migration – to the West. In fact, an IS leader recently claimed to have slipped 4,000 operatives into Europe among the “refugees.”

Memo to Congress, stop the hijra to America.
