Today on Secure Freedom Radio, Frank Gaffney spoke to Hans Von Spakovsky of the Heritage Foundation about voter fraud in the United States. Some people on the left, insist that voter fraud is non-existent but Spakovsky has started keeping a database and has documented 400 recent cases.

Spakovsky says the issue is intentionally downplayed and that the Obama administration is standing in the way of common sense measures like voter ID and proof of citizenship at voter registrations. He even suggests that there is evidence that non-citizens are voting in our elections.

Spakovsky tells a story that’s maddening:

“There’s an independent federal agency called the U.S. Election Assistance Commission, and one of the things they’re in charge of is the federal voter registration form and about three weeks ago they told Kansas and other states that yes, it’s OK to tell people who use that form to register to vote that they’re also going to have to provide proof of citizenship because those states have passed laws to implement that. The EAC was almost immediately sued by the League of Women Voters, the NAACP and others saying no, you can’t do that, you can’t require proof of citizenship.”

The Justice Department, which is supposed to defend agencies like the EAC when they make decisions like this is apparently taking a dive. Why? Because they want the NAACP and the League of Women Voters to win.

Spakovsky continued:

“They’ve (the Justice Department) told the agency, the EAC, they’re not going to defend their decision and they’re barring the agency from hiring its own lawyers to defend. It is some of the most unethical conduct I have ever seen government lawyers engage in.”

In essence, the Obama administration is enabling voter fraud.

Spakovsky even suggests there is ample evidence to suggest that the Obama administration wants non-citizens to vote.

Think about that.
