This weekend’s French election brought to power Emmanuel Macron, a self-professed “globalist.” He exemplifies the ominous phenomenon of “transnationalism” in Europe and elsewhere – including the United States.

Like his fellow “transies,” France’s new president has a low regard for such concepts as national borders, identity, culture and – inevitably – security. He has embraced continuing immigration and the Sharia-supremacists who are exploiting it to transform France beyond recognition.

There is now little hope for slowing the subordination of the French to the dictates of a sovereignty-crushing European Union. And, inexorably, there will be more accommodations to the Islamists’ demands for submission by secular, non-Muslim France.

If so, history will likely record the choice made by the French this week as the tipping point for Western civilization on the continent of Europe – and a rising challenge to the United States and a shrinking Free World.
