Trump’s Unsat Amnesty Now, Reform Later Immigration Plan

Print Friendly, PDF & Email

On the eve of his first State of the Union address, President Trump’s administration is expected to unveil the details of his new immigration policy. Breitbart’s Neal Munro reports that a leaked copy shows it’ll look a lot like past “comprehensive” deals: amnesty up front, border security and fundamental reforms later.

Hard experience with such deals suggests that “later” will never come. Indeed, Democrats have become ever-more-brazen about keeping the borders insecure, perpetuating chain migration and the diversity lottery and blocking the requirement for businesses to use the E-Verify system to prevent the hiring of illegal aliens, all for a very simple reason:  Doing so perpetuates the “fundamental transformation” of our electorate, inevitably guaranteeing a permanent Democratic majority.

Here’s a prediction: That majority will be evident in the House this fall as alienated Republican voters stay home and a presidential impeachment looms.
