Blessed be the Religious Freedom President

Yesterday, on the occasion of the National Day of Prayer, President Trump addressed the plight of people suffering the world’s largest – and most overlooked – humanitarian crisis. With his leadership, it just may be possible to do something material about the heavy persecution of 215 million Christians all over the globe.

He said, “We know that millions of people in Iran, Cuba, Venezuela, North Korea and other countries suffer under repressive and brutal regimes.  America stands with all people suffering oppression and religious persecution.

In addition, the President signed an executive order intended “to make it clear that religious freedom is a priority throughout his administration.”

Those of us involved with the Save the Persecuted Christians Coalition welcome Mr. Trump’s growing engagement on behalf of those persecuted for following their faith, and call on him to identify and hold accountable those responsible.
