President Trump Again Shows His Support for American Troops

President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump received a spirited reception from U.S. troops during a surprise visit to al-Asad Air Base in Baghdad on December 26.  This reception wasn’t a surprise since despite the latest round of press criticism of Mr. Trump due to his decision to withdraw U.S. troops from Syria and Secretary of Defense Mattis’ resignation, polls consistently show significant support for the president from active duty servicemen and servicewomen as well as veterans.  They know President Trump has been there for them by his initiatives to care for our nation’s veterans and to fully fund the U.S. military.  I attended many of Mr. Trump’s rallies in 2018 and watched him pledge to Americans across the country his determination to support America’s troops and veterans.

White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders sent the below tweet demonstrating the U.S. military’s support for President Trump that the mainstream media refuses to report.  She wrote about a soldier the President met during his trip to Iraq who told him he returned to military service because of Mr. Trump.  The President replied “And I am here because of you.”  The soldier then gave the President a patch from his arm.
