Riot-wracked municipalities across the country have begun pursuing the revolutionary perpetrators’ idea of defunding the police. It’s unclear what would come next, apart from blithe comments about redirecting the money to “community activists” and social workers.

Now, we have the first example of what a police-free community would look like. It’s a six-block area of Seattle that has been dubbed “the Capitol Hill Autonomous Zone” – or CHAZ. A rapper named Raz Simone says he’s in charge and has a gang of armed thugs that are described as “the police now,” reportedly extorting businesses in the area for money to operate.

President Trump rightly opposes CHAZ and wants order restored.

Ditto the vast majority of Americans who have no interest in being subjected to this sort of anarchy. Their voices must be heard, not just those of the loudest insurrectionists.

This is Frank Gaffney.
