End today’s persecution of the Jews

Over the next few days, the Jewish people will remember their predecessors’ murderous persecution at the hands of ancient Egypt’s pharaoh. Interestingly, on the eve of this Passover, they received an official apology for a contemporary foreign leader’s rabid anti-Semitism.

Sir Keir Sturmer was just elected to replace the man whose loathing of Jews and their homeland contributed to the British Labor Party’s crushing defeat late last year at the hands of the now-critically-ill Prime Minister Boris Johnson. Sir Keir immediately repudiated the policies of his notorious predecessor, Jeremy Corbyn, saying, “anti-Semitism has been a stain on our party” and promising to “tear out this poison by its roots.”

We’ll see if Labor’s partisans will actually implement this long-overdue course-correction. Meantime, we can only hope that their counterparts in America’s own anti-Semitic Democratic Party will do the same.

End – and punish – Beijing’s election interference

Amidst the endless warnings about Russian interference in our elections, another state actor’s influence operations have been largely ignored. But a recent spate of anti-Trump advertisements that have been placed on Facebook and other social media platforms by Chinese Communist Party propaganda instruments without disclosing their sponsors demand attention, and corrective action.

The ads have run in English, Chinese and Arabic and are aimed at promoting the Communist Party-line with audiences around the world. Their memes praise the PRC’s effective action against the coronavirus. And they depict Donald Trump as a racist for pointing out China’s responsibility for the present pandemic.

Beijing’s open hostility towards President Trump, to say nothing of the overt effort to help defeat him that it animates, is unacceptable. Those who relentlessly warn about foreign election interference should be leaders in condemning and punishing what China is perpetrating.

China’s latest – and potentially worst – Crime against humanity

Communist China became a party to the Biological Weapons Convention in 1984. That accord prohibits the development, production and stockpiling of biological agents or toxins that have no peaceful purpose.

In the years since, the PRC has systematically violated its obligations under the Convention, constructing and operating covertly a number of facilities pursuing prohibited activities. Recent press reports disclose that longtime Chinese Communist Party General Secretary Deng Xiaoping personally established this program to liquidate the US population, leaving our country ripe for colonization by China.

These facts have been put in sharp relief by the pandemic caused by the Wuhan virus. Some experts contend COVID-19 was actually engineered in that city to be both highly contagious and frighteningly lethal.

If that’s true, the virus’ release – whether by accident or design – would constitute one of the greatest crimes against humanity of all time.

China lied. People died.

The U.S. intelligence community has reportedly confirmed what has been obvious to anyone paying attention: The Chinese Communist Party has been maliciously untruthful from the get-go about the coronavirus it unleashed on the world.

Two unnamed sources cited by Bloomberg, described the classified report’s conclusions more diplomatically, saying the data supplied by Beijing were “intentionally incomplete.”

Call it what you will, the devastating effect of the Communist Chinese selectively releasing such information, was confirmed on Tuesday by Dr. Deborah Birx, the White House point person on COVID-19: It kept our government from properly understanding and quickly responding to a pandemic involving a highly contagious disease.

In other words, to paraphrase a favorite Democratic talking-point from the George W. Bush years: “China lied. People died.” The Chinese Communist Party must be held accountable for that appalling truth – and continuing scandal.

Donald Trump, wartime leader

Donald Trump has become a wartime president, striving to lead the nation in a life-and-death struggle against an unprecedented, invisible enemy now estimated to be likely to kill at least 100,000 Americans. And that’s the best case at the moment.

At a press briefing yesterday where that frightening statistic was announced, Mr. Trump channeled his inner Churchill. He spoke candidly about the dangers ahead, led his COVID-19 task force in explaining the comprehensive steps it is taking to minimize such losses and fielded mostly hostile questions from the White House press corps.

One such query prompted President Trump to characterize his style of leadership as fundamentally optimistic. Despite the abundant bad news, he sees his job as one of holding out hope, not promoting despair, exhorting us and showing us how to respond responsibly and, thereby, defeat the pandemic enemy.

Godspeed, Mr. President.

We better get on a war-footing NOW

We don’t know whether the Chinese Communist Party virus was engineered at a facility in Wuhan associated with a covert biological warfare program reportedly founded to destroy this country.

What we do know is that the pandemic the Party, by its lies and inaction, allowed to incubate and spread globally has demonstrated biowarfare’s effectiveness.

After all, even a relatively low-lethality, but highly contagious, disease has literally shut down China’s main enemy – the United States of America. Without a shot having been fired, our people have been terrified, our economy devastated and our military sidelined. Indeed, sickened sailors have forced our two Pacific-deployed aircraft carriers into port and our ability to project power from the homeland is seriously degraded for the foreseeable future.

President Trump is right: We are at war with an invisible enemy from China. We better get on a war-footing NOW.

A tale of two pandemics in France

In France, the effort to protect the population against the Chinese virus has come a cropper because of another raging pandemic. In cities across the country, Sharia-supremacists are refusing to cooperate with the government-mandated lockdown – and are getting away with it.

A top French Ministry of the Interior official recently announced, “It is not a priority to enforce closings in certain neighborhoods and to stop gatherings.” The reason, he said, is that imposing the same restrictions on the hundreds of so-called “sensitive urban zones” that his government has essentially surrendered to Islamists in recent years would risk triggering violent mayhem.

It makes no more sense to tolerate the danger posed by Sharia-supremacist enclaves than it does to pretend potential COVID-19 hotspots can be safely ignored. Doing both poses a mortal threat to France – and the rest of the civilized world.

Venezuela’s Maduro should be ‘Wanted – Dead or Alive’

Yesterday, the U.S. government formally charged the communist dictator of Venezuela, Nicholas Maduro, and his cronies with waging narco-terrorist warfare against our country.

According to Attorney General William Barr, who unveiled an indictment against Maduro and fourteen other co-conspirators, they “allegedly conspired with the FARC [Columbian terrorist group], causing tons of cocaine to enter and devastate American communities.”

It’s bad enough that Maduro and his thugs have destroyed their country – forcing millions of Venezuelans to flee abject poverty and brutal repression – and given our enemies like Cuba, Iran, Russia and China footholds in this hemisphere.

In addition, Venezuela’s president and secretary of defense are among the kleptocrats benefiting from the sustained use against our people of narcotic forms of weapons of mass destruction. So, the new, multi-million dollar U.S. bounties for their arrests should read instead, “Wanted: Dead or Alive.”

Now that we have been mugged by reality, put America first – not China

It’s been said that “a conservative is a liberal who has been mugged by reality.” America is undergoing a similar transformation, having been mugged by the reality of the pandemic precipitated by the Chinese Communist Party.

President Trump spoke Monday for millions of us who now realize that we can no longer do business as usual with China. He said, “We should never be reliant on a foreign country for the means of our own survival….This crisis has underscored just how critical it is to have strong borders and a robust manufacturing sector….

“Our goal for the future must be to have American medicine for American patients, American supplies for American hospitals, and American equipment for our great American heroes,” Trump said. “Now both parties must unite to ensure America is truly an independent nation in every sense of the word.”

Amen.

Democrats use the virus crisis to advance their ‘vision’

“You want it bad, you get it bad” is a maxim that applies in spades to must-pass legislation. A case in point is the emergency bill now being finalized in Congress that’s ostensibly aimed at alleviating the damage being done to the American people and economy by the Chinese virus.

Unfortunately, House Democrats have seized upon the opportunity, in the words of their chamber’s third-ranking leader, Rep. Jim Clyburn, “to restructure things to fit our vision.” As a result, the House-passed version would enhance the power of unions, help advance the radical environmentalists’ “Green New Deal” agenda and enable voting fraud on an unprecedented scale.

Initially, Democratic Senators fell into line with Speaker Pelosi’s demands. While they ultimately won’t get everything she wanted, the $2 trillion bill rewards such shakedown artists at the expense – figuratively and literally – of suffering American taxpayers.
